Drones in Agriculture: Past and Future

Abstract

A drone is any aircraft that can be controlled remotely, has embedded high quality cameras, programmable controllers, multiple sensors and GPS technology, which enable it to fly autonomously through signals received from the ground station. Traditionally, drones were called as Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) or Miniature Pilotless Aircraft and their use was mostly confined to military operations.
